Hey! It’s Marc 👋
How are you?
You might be wondering today: “Wait! Did Marc mess up the newsletter schedule or forget to send it yesterday?”
But no! Yesterday was a public holiday here, so I decided to send it out today instead 🙂
I’ve made writing this newsletter a habit, and once something becomes a routine, it’s easier to stick with it.
That said, this week I’m continuing with some client projects, and I hope to show you one of them very soon.
Actually… next week I’ll show you a project I wrapped up right before the holidays ;)
I hope you enjoy with it this week!

🔨 Tools & Resources
1. OverType
OverType is a lightweight Markdown editor that uses a simple, clever trick: a transparent textarea layered over a live preview of the rendered Markdown. It gives you the beauty of WYSIWYG editing but with the simplicity, native behavior, and performance of a basic textarea.
2. 90’s Cursor Effects
“90’s Cursor Effects” by Tim Holman is a JavaScript library that brings nostalgic cursor animations back to the web using modern, efficient code. It includes effects like fairy dust, snowflakes, a trailing cursor, a ghost cursor, emoji rain, text flags, and more. You can easily add them to your site via a script or npm, customize appearance (colors, emojis, trail length), and even limit effects to specific elements. Designed to feel playful and old‑school, yet be lightweight and friendly with mobile devices.
3. Public APIs
PublicAPIs.io is a curated directory of over 15,000 free and public APIs, categorized by domain (like weather, finance, media, etc.). It helps developers discover APIs easily, view their details, and integrates well with any language (JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, etc.). It also lets API providers increase visibility by submitting their APIs.
